Work took me to Marquette, Michigan on a beautiful, although slightly overcast, June day. There’s a bit of a color shift on this roll of Kodak Portra 800. Quite frankly, I had no idea how old the roll was. My guess it was 2021 or 2022, so not too far out, but it was inside my camera inside my camera cabinet on the main floor of my home, so I could not expect miracles. I only had about an hour to explore, but I had to see the Lower Harbor Ore Dock. I stopped at a great Mexican restaurant, El Santo, and those tacos are calling for my return. Sailboats…

Listening to my favorite film photography podcasts, I occasionally hear of people creating zines, essentially simple magazine-style booklets of their photographs to share with others. Coming off a Labor Day trip to San Francisco, I had a good set of photographs of Chinatown, which I thought would make a nice collection, so I made my first zine! I used Blurb Books to create it. I am quite familiar with Blurb and use the Lightroom to Blurb book creator tool to create photo books of family trips.
