Work took me to Marquette, Michigan on a beautiful, although slightly overcast, June day. There’s a bit of a color shift on this roll of Kodak Portra 800. Quite frankly, I had no idea how old the roll was. My guess it was 2021 or 2022, so not too far out, but it was inside my camera inside my camera cabinet on the main floor of my home, so I could not expect miracles. I only had about an hour to explore, but I had to see the Lower Harbor Ore Dock. I stopped at a great Mexican restaurant, El Santo, and those tacos are calling for my return. Sailboats…

This was my first go with a roll of Cinestill 400D. I realize that some people may appreciate the look, but it’s really not my style. I will stick with Ektar 100, Portra 160, and Portra 800 for my color work. So here are a few samples and I welcome feedback from others who have tried it out.
